My work has always come from a simple idea: I want to see the beauty in everything, including in ourselves. That’s really been the foundation of what I do all along. I’m just finally putting it into words so other people can understand what I’m trying to say through my work.

A big part of that for me is recognizing that everything is connected, and that everything changes with time. Sometimes that change is beautiful, and sometimes it’s hard — through catastrophe, growth, rebirth, or those pivotal moments that shape what something becomes. I’m drawn to all of that. I usually start with a straight photograph, but if the image doesn’t fully say what I feel, I’ll build on it with layered textures and other techniques to help bring out the emotion or idea more clearly.

At the heart of it, I want my work to point people toward beauty — in nature, in change, and in themselves.
